Uses: Studies are still being done to scientifically prove some of burdock's traditional uses, such as as its value as an anti-tumor agent and a fever-reducing herb, but it has been credited with detoxifiying properties for hundreds of years. Burdock is rich in iron and also in antioxidants; helps the body to eliminate toxins; and supports healthy liver function.
Burdock root tea may also be an effective remedy for gout, psoriasis, and eczema.
Serving: 1-2 tsp/day in 8 oz. boiling water. Steep 5-10 minutes @ 212°.
