Uses: Ginger makes a deliciously spicy and fragrant immune-boosting tea. Traditional uses include treatment for digestive upset, such as nausea and gas pain, and may be useful for treating morning sickness. Ginger has also been used as an anti-inflammatory agent to treat muscle pain and arthritis. It has been proven to improve heart health, lowering the risk of heart disease, and also to lower blood sugar; and ginger may also lower cholestrol.

Other uses may include relief from menstrual pain, memory support, and lowering risks of cancer.

Safety Rating: Safety Class 2B & 2D (According to MediHerb: Contraindications and Cautions)
Contraindicated with gallstones. A daily dose of 2 g of dried ginger should not be exceeded in pregnancy.
Use with caution in cases of peptic ulceration, gastroesophageal reflux, or other gastric diseases.
Taking larger than recommended doeses may lead to blood-thinning effect and heartburn.

Topical application may cause contact dermatitis in sensitive patients.
